Hayes Collection at CU Library

Guild members were treated to a private viewing of selections from the James Hayes collection housed in the Rare Books Room, Norlin Library, University of Colorado, Boulder.  Mr. Hayes retired to Colorado after a long career as a calligrapher in Chicago.  He was instrumental in the formation and nurture of the Colorado Calligraphers’ Guild.  With the help of the guild, his collection of rare books and manuscripts was purchased by the library.  In addition, many examples of Mr. Hayes work was included in the collection.
