CCG Newsletter Deadline – September 27, 2023

Greetings, Calligraphers, one and all!

Your Guild officers are in process of putting together our Autumn Newsletter, and we need your help to inspire each other and fill the pages!

Please consider submitting a short, medium, or tome-length article on any of the following topics—or one that you’re excited about.  Please submit using “Word” (or “Pages”) document, rather than <pdf>, since the latter does not allow editing.

• Class review, including online classes. Be sure to introduce the teacher to us, and mention if/how others can sign up for that teacher or class.
• Tips and tools. In this column we will offer each other ideas about practices and tools that we personally enjoy or are trying out.  Wonderful if you can send photo of a piece, however small or brief, and the tool you refer to.
• Your ideas!

We would be especially pleased if you would include any photos, including (particularly!) of your own art work, or of calligraphy gatherings you may have been part of during the last year or so.  Please submit those as <jpeg>.  If you wish to submit photos without an article, please at least offer a short description, like you would find under a newspaper photo, and of course, include your name; if an image of your calligraphy, let us know what type of tool/implement and medium you were using; for example: Speedball C-4 pen, watercolor on Arches hot press.

Deadline for submissions: Wednesday, September 27, midnight.

The newsletter will also communicate our offerings, including monthly programs, gatherings, and upcoming workshops.  Watch for it in your inbox soon!
